There is no escaping from climate change, even in the deep sea
Time to come clean with history. The climate has changed a couple of times over since civilization has started recording things. And we have lived through those changes while doing what we could to adapt. When things got warmer almost 2000 years ago, the Romano-British cultivated ed wine. When it got warmer about 1000 years ago, the Northmen settled in a green Greenland. The remains are ancient but they are there. From Norway’s snow-covered mountain passes to the deepest sea. Only one difference – those times people did not fret about what they could do nothing about. They morphed. And so will we.
