The entire so-called science of measuring temperature is hopelessly broken. Having temperature measuring stations on black asphalt, close to runways, or behind exhaust vents of large machinery is just the tip of the iceberg. If you have three thermometers in the same room, chances are they show three slightly different temperatures at the same time. And as we measure the percent of a degree, those slight differences matter enormously. Also, communication is a mess. I still have scanned headlines from 2017 when here in Vienna we hit 42,7 degrees Celsius. And today headlines shout about 50-year records when we hit 36 degrees. This is a fraud.

Three Typhoon fighter jets were landing at RAF Coningsby when the brief U.K. temperature record was declared on July 19th last year from a measuring device situated halfway down the runway, it has been revealed.
