Tipping Point?

Life did not develop in a narrow set of circumstances. It developed and thrived despite the most adverse circumstances that could be imagined. The same is true for human life. Humans have gone to settle in almost any environment. As a species and as a culture we have gone through horrendous shifts and survived massive catastrophes. If we just take the Bronze Age collapse when massive and very rapid climate shifts crushed empires and got masses of people to move we are looking at a long-term shift that dwarfs anything we are looking at today. Does anyone pretend that we caused something that happened more than 3000 years ago?

Tipping Point?

Are we at a Hothouse tipping point now? The simple answer is “no”. A Hothouse period is simply not possible in our current climate state.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
