Trump Moves the Ball on China Trade
China does not trust its own people and that’s its Achilles heel. Because likewise, its own people don’t trust it as well. Which is why capital flight from China has reached yet unseen proportions. Everyone tries to get the nest egg home and dry before whatever will happen actually happens. More than 10 years of pumping artificial money into the economy producing artificial growth have riddled China with unsellable real estate and a restive population. If hunger joins in, the mix might prove fatal. They cannot give in too much to Trump as its own people would revolt and they cannot resist Trump too long as the damage to China becomes crushing. Don’t gamble when you cannot afford to lose.
