Trump stalks global climate talks as COP29 draws near

Ain’t that funny – the man has not been in office for close to 4 years and still he is blamed for everything under the Sun. This alone shows us that the climate circus has never been about saving the planet the climate or the environment. It’s a money machine and the COP events are a great opportunity for grandstanding. Can you imagine a COP event being held in an oil-exporting state? Oh, I also miss the constant calls for more of the cheap renewables. Everyone understands now that not only are they not cheap but rather hideously expensive.

The election lands awkwardly as governments try to build global consensus in coming months not just around climate but stronger protections for the environment.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
