Trump Tariffs Could Lead to Weaker Oil Demand: WoodMac

The biggest buyers of consumer goods are North America and Europe. When everything is made in China and around, goods to North America have to cross the Pacific and those to Europe have to go on an even longer journey around Eurasia. When a lot of that manufacturing relocates to North America, the Pacific transport goes down and the trip to Europe is also much shorter across the Atlantic. Besides, China uses massive amounts of coal to provide energy for its manufacturing sector. In the US, this will come from much cleaner Natural Gas driving the gas age. Trump tariffs make the world a better place.
