Israel is an oil importer. It’s highly developed and mobile economy needs the black gold and would screech to a halt if the flow ever stopped. Thats why they have reserves. But Israel also has gas fields and they seem to be big enough that massive gas exports are on the table – so it seems. But the gas could better be used if Israel gasified its transport system.
