U.S. Department of Energy soliciting bids for crude oil to replenish petroleum reserve

What they really want is someone that waves a magic wand and refills the reserve at no cost. They want to have their cake and eat it at the same time. The petroleum reserve is not here for politicians to turn into cash for their pet projects but it shall rather keep the country safe in case something horrible happens. But there would be a way how the reserve could be refilled and prices to be kept low at the same time. Kick out the blocks from the oil and gas policy. Remove all the non-normal curbs from shale drillers and help them deal with activists when they turn up at sites even when all permits had been secured. But I don’t think Biden wants that – he still wants his cake and eat it too.

Deliveries into the emergency government stockpile are planned for August, with awards to be announced in June, the Energy Department said in its solicitation Monday.
