What I said about the Qataris before is just as true for the American projects. New markets will have to be developed. There is a major difference though. Americans – once they look into using LNG in new ways – might well discover that the US itself is a major new market as there are countless opportunities to replace diesel use with LNG. This would also reduce oil imports and free up more higher value shale oil for export. Keeping US LNG in the US might be the winning proposition.
