10 years ago, one would have been negligent if one ignored Local Content rules in Africa. But nobody gave a hoot about protesters in Developed countries. Yes, there was some local engagement but it was all placebo and they dealt with some residents that were worried. This new bunch is professional activists that are organized and they work for the greatest possible damage to the project. You cannot argue with them. Ignore them at your peril. Or develop structures and mechanisms to deal with them.
