U.S. sees record oil production next year moving even higher
I am watching shale for more than 15 years now. I remember my first shale event in 2009 when this was still a crazy matter. Fans of shale expected continuous improvement of shale – not nearly as radical as it turned out to be – but pretty consistent. I knew quite soon that this is going to be a see-saw industry. Every downturn squeezed drillers hard to innovate and was followed by upturns that threw plenty of money at those innovations. It’s the ultimate workout to create a monster – and I mean this in the most positive way.
