U.S. shale prioritizing debt over drilling, just as OPEC predicted
Its a see-saw. For years, shale drillers have been wildly creative and went into schemes that were often dead ends. And rapidly innovative industry throws out plenty of those. I sure know something about it. In the last 10 years I have gone in many different directions and many turned out to be duds. I am quick with cutting those lose so they never create a lot of drag. Shale needs to consolidate, clean house and iron the wrinkles out of whatever works well. This is the inception phase of shale 3.0.
