UK Inches Closer To Eliminating Private Car Ownership
Private car ownership was nothing that was dreamt up by some bureaucrats in the 19th century and then implemented by some high-handed policy with lofty goals. It emerged out of the economy when motorized vehicles turned out to be superior to horses and carriages. My father still saw a lot of them in his youth. I still saw some when I was a kid and not for recreational purposes. If what follows private car ownership was such a natural emanation of our times, I would not mind. But it’s not – it’s an enlightened caste of tyrants that wants to tell us how to live once more. And we won’t have it.
