One thing can always be relied upon: that politicians will always turn their coat in no time when they see it as advantageous or they can cover their own behinds with it. Don’t expect any steadfastness from them. In this case, it was just a matter of time until some of them will turn their backs on the ultra-green policies as their voters are being bitten very hard by green policies. You need a dictatorship for those policies – democracies won’t endure green pain for a while – but not forever.
