Ukraine And Energy Realism
High prices for energy are just one part of the total problem and it’s not even the worst one. If it was only high prices, the effect of those high prices would in time force a readjustment of policy. But it gets a lot worse because we will see plenty of situations when no sum of money will save the situation anymore. Yes, oil is a liquid market but gas is not and the international LNG market has never been designed to replace the biggest gas exporter worldwide. We will sit in the dark and we will sit in the cold and yes, this is in large part the fault of our idiotic energy policies like wind and solar as well as the nuclear and coal exit.
