Ukraine’s Naftogaz makes ‘promising’ gas discovery in Carpathians

Once the war is over (and it will be over one day) Ukraine has a very strong incentive to use everything it has to make life for its population better. Oil & Gas reserves plus any other natural resources they find will help a lot. And I expect a lot more than what we know to be there. If Ukrainians use just part of the inventiveness they exhibit during the war against Russia for oil and gas exploration, the future is going to be interesting. Maybe we see the first truly working shale venture in Europe.

(WO) — Ukraine's state-owned Naftogaz’s subsidiary Ukrgasvydobuvannya has uncovered a highly promising gas deposit in the Carpathians, previously believed to be exhausted, the company announced on Nov. 20.
