If you look at the many different alternative fuel schemes that companies try out, only LNG makes it into operational service. All the others remain expensive laboratory rats running off the marketing budget. Wgy is this so? Simple – LNG works. You can run a large fleet on it, be competitive with even diesel and really clean up transport. And the best one – this is much less complex than clean diesel. Meaning that its cheaper in the long run.
