US Appeals court blocks rule allowing movement of LNG by rail

LNG by rail could be a big thing. It’s the second-best thing to a gas pipeline except that the commodity remains in its liquid phase. What is the best alternative you ask? The US features a one-of-a-kind domestic waterway system. You can use brown-water barges not only on the incredibly vast and well-built river and canal system – there are also two intercoastal channels running up and down the Atlantic coast and alongside the Gulf Coast. Very cheap brownwater barges can move to most places in the lower 48. Building them for LNG transportation is no technological issue. And it would solve a lot of problems for some big LNG users. I am talking to both of you, Elon and Jeff.
