US oil producers could surprise Saudi Arabia, Russia
Last year’s standoff between OPEC and Russia (have we already forgotten this) has hurt them far more than it has hurt shale. Sure, shale has taken a hammering but all it has done was cull the weaklings, consolidate the industry and stiffen spines. Because prices are higher now than before the standoff and some OPEC+ and other non_US producers have damaged their production capacities. Shale will be back much quicker than they can. OPEC+ can bluster but they cant carry the long game.
