It’s not as if any politician would give a rat droppings for the 425 billion. They don’t care. They can’t as throwing money out of the window is what they are there for. Imagine all the campaign donors that must be kept sweet. But this will create ever more palpable pain in the population which is made up – wait for it – voters. You can dupe voters into compliance as long as their personal life’s somehow check out but when they are hurting for real, they are pissed. And then they will – God forbid – vote for someone else. That can’t happen so this needs to be rolled back. But how? Maybe establishing that those activists duped politicians and it’s all one big fraud would get them off the hook? What do you think – will they go for it?
