There is absolutely no common sense in those people’s heads. They could have bought an LNG-fueled truck, it would have been almost as cheap as the diesel vehicle is, it would fulfill all the specs of the diesel vehicle, there would not be any fumes – diesel or other – and if they want to go zero carbon they could have fueled up on bio-methane. But it would not have checked their dogmatic box. It would only have covered all the needs of the city plus even allowed them to virtue signal. Get rid of such a city government.
