Vattenfall Ditches Offshore Wind to Hydrogen Project

Was this ever to be meant seriously? I have seen several companies advertising big hydrogen ambitions and once they saw the numbers they blushed. There must have been a completely unfounded expectation that governments would keep throwing ungodly amounts of money at any project they are presented with. They say they want hydrogen – let them make the market for us. Just so happens that governments have bigger problems than renewable targets right now. They need to keep the activists happy as they want their votes but they start to understand that there are more of the others. And those voters are not happy. This hydrogen bubble pops open before it gathers enough steam to leave anything noticeable behind.
