Venezuela stuck on repeat
US sanctions have nothing to do with the humanitarian disaster thats unfolding there. Even if those sanctions were never enacted at all, the situation in the country would not be very different from what we find now. It’s only the result of completely misguided policies and it’s a nice reminder of where socialism ultimately always leads. But to the regime, the sanctions are a handy excuse to use befoe their own population. It’s not us – it’s those Americans. They hold us back. Thats why I think that sanctions are useless as they perpetuate nasty regimes.
