Since I was a little kid, I always asked myself why people in socialist countries lived such miserable lives. And when I grew up I was even more amazed by how many in the nonsocialist world tried to explain how much better such countries were. And I never saw them move there. It did not take me 18 years to find that out. It may not be a matter of age. The willingness to face reality is rare in humans. Most want a convenient lie just because it fits their preconceived notions of what must be true. Looking at truth takes effort and is scary – how many are willing to put that in?

This is the first time European majors send naphtha to Venezuela since the USA imposed sanctions on PDVSA in 2019.
