Voters in Switzerland have rejected a law intended to help the country meet its Paris carbon emissions goal
I have said this would be coming for at least 3 years now. In a sense, the last Australian election was such a referendum already but politicians there are still half deaf and blind. But the dynamic is unstoppable. As soon as people really understand what’s up, they will make appropriate choices. Politicians never understand then as they live in a world apart from the people. So they are always surprised. When they should not be. The silent majority finds its voice.
