We will suffer – there is no doubt about that. The carefree life of the past and for some the present is going to end rapidly. But suffering has grades. And suffering also makes people harder. If it hits us all at once, it will break many but it’s more likely that we will ease into suffering, and then it’s not a question of how bad it is but rather how bad one is off as compared to the majority of the people he sees every day. Humans are creatures of habit. We got used to the pixie dust world we live in now – we will get used to a much harder world in the future. We won’t be lost. There will be victims, those who cannot make it but they are on those who have caused this. We shall not forget.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
