Weren’t we told all those last years that wind energy now is much cheaper than any other form of conventional energy? Wait for a minute, Europe is also in an energy crisis with electricity prices in the stratosphere. The cheapest option out there should be raking in cash for building new plants. But people want electricity when they need it, not when mother nature decides that now is a good time to make some power. Oh, and when subsidies are not coming forward in big piles but only smaller piles, orders go to zero. What was that again with the cheapest energy source?

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
