What China’s climate push means for Australia
Australia has much worse problems than a phony marketing stunt by China. Even if anyone takes China’s claims to become fossil fuel-free at whatever point in time, there is much worse than plagues Australia. The mere fact that exports to China account for so many jobs and so much income is a problem. But the energy crisis is a much worse one. Imagine a country that is richly endowed with Natural Gas reserves and yet they look forward to imports. Erratic and highly-priced energy pushes industries away and innovation is not at its best as well. Australia must rekindle the animal spirits of its entrepreneurs – not lay on more vapor money funded extremism. The voters have already brought one surprise – if it’s not heeded there will be more. Politicians take note.
