What’s Another Way to Say ‘We’re F-cked’?
About 3200 years ago, the world entered a destructive cycle called the Late Bronze Age collapse. it lasted for around 50 years and wiped a number of leading civilizations away. Among them were the Mycenean kingdoms, the Kassite dynasty of Babylonia, the Hittite empire but also the Egyptian empire and the Amorite states in the Levante. After it, the world was a very different place but life adapted and went on. Human induced climate change was very likely not to blame. Those things have happened since earth exists for billions of years. We are not f-cked. Just one more problem we have to deal with – and we will deal with.
Hurricane Michael, the third most intense storm on record to make landfall in the U.S., has caused widespread destruction, turning places like Mexico Beach, Florida, into a hellscape of broken homes and overturned cars.
