When Green Dreams Go Up in Smoke: The Great Lithium Truck Fiasco of I-15

That was out in the open and it blocked traffic for 6 hours. Because it could lie on the side of the street and smolder. How about this same happening in the middle of a city? With all the toxic fumes, how many city blocks need to be evacuated? Or just imagine this happening under a bridge. Will this bridge still be structurally sound when the arming steel in the concrete has received a day of very hot fire? Not good enough? How about a tunnel? How long will the tunnel be closed? Will it ever open or must we fear for the tunnel ceiling to collapse? Will it be compromised? How would you feel when this thing burns just beside the Kindergarten where your little ones are playing? Or a retirement home where your parents live? So many options for disaster.
