Where climate scientists see danger, Russia sees an opportunity
I hate to spoil the party but we are in a cooling cycle right now as many have experienced this year on their own bodies. The discussion is no more if a Solar Minimum is upon us, it’s how deep it will be. This means phantasies about warming are exactly that – fables. The moderate warming so far has enabled some sea traffic that was not possible years ago. But ships still get stuck in I’ve and ice breakers are still necessary. And now it gets colder. Russia would profit a lot from warming – it’s just not going to be.
