White House Rejects Tying Ukraine Aid to Reversing Natural Gas Policy

It is a testament to how far the pendulum has already swung in favor of the executive in the US. Obama already told us that he has a pen and a phone. The US President enjoys some sort of direct vote to get himself into the White House but laws are made by Congress. That’s to raison d’etre of this body. Executive action should have to conform to the rules Congress puts into being. Same thing for the courts. The Supreme Court can overrule anything but it can also be overruled by Congress taking statutes reversing a point if it chooses so. The only relative conflict should be between the state legislatures and the federal legislature on who decides what. But not the executive. It shall execute the rules set out by Congress and fill in voids if this is required.
