Why almost all coal was made at the same time

The younger atmosphere was a lot more CO2-rich. Right now we have to contend with about 0,04%. There were times when CO2 was way more than a full percent and even much, much higher. Woody plants sucked all this CO2 out of the air and if other organisms would not learned to break up woody tissues, life on Earth that’s more complex than bacteria would have ceased to exist. Humans would never have been. We owe our lives to CO2. Instead, we demonize it.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
