Why Chaotically Delivered Wind and Solar Act Like Cancer On The Power Grid

Cancer on the power grid – I like that way of putting it. Because it’s graphic and represents the truth of wind and solar better than most stuff I have seen so far. Most people have a romantic view of electrical power. Because all they ever see is the stabilized end product. They ignore all the work and tech that goes into making power such an even, well-balanced product. Until the advent of wind and solar, power grids were forced to deal with instability from the consumption side but they had reliable assets on the production side to deal with that flicker factor. Now, wind and solar deliver different amounts of electricity every single second. Balancing that is near impossible and exceedingly expensive.
