Why Saudi Arabia May Be Forced To Start Another Oil Price War
Wanna get tough again? Well then do it – and do it now. Because it does not make much of a difference for the US shale drillers right now. It will only crush some more small OPEC producers and lay the Russian oil industry bare. And it will reveal the massive cracks in Saudi Arabia in the longer term. Because if you fail to invest in longer-term projects, you just don’t have to oil anymore when you need it. And make no mistake, demand will come back and strongly so. Just imagine Saudis kill off some more long-term oil now and next year the price goes up to 100. What would that do to shale? Exactly, it would put them on steroids in a second – provided its Trump that sits in the White House. I expect shale to become bigger than ever before.
