Why Surging Natural-Gas Prices Haven’t Sparked a Drilling Boom
The rest of the world may have forgotten already but in the oil and gas industry, people have much longer memories. Yes, there is a rush for hydrocarbons now but some developments need many years to be paid off and those decisions are not made on a whim. Shale has changed the game to a certain extent but this does not mean that shale can turn around on its heels. We know that as soon as the world is rid of its shortfall, they will kick us to the curb in no time. We will need to see more to be reassured.
