What ESG does indeed create is a whole armory full of new Ky Performance Indicators and other indices by which whatever shall be measured and evaluated. It will all complicate corporate reporting even more which is a headache for smaller companies and a great way to cheat for the bigger ones. When I was still a tax lawyer we had a little secret. While everyone complained about ultra-complex and complicated taxation rules, we reveled in them. Whatever we wanted, with a little creativity we could find it. Simple rules mean freedom – dictatorships create arcane, impossible-to-understand rules. There will be cheating.
