Will Soaring Insurance Costs Derail the EV Revolution?

Just one year ago, people here in Vienna still looked at a Tesla in awe. It was a clean status symbol. Nothing spoilt the fun the owners had. That’s over now. I see people keeping a distance from them. We have electrical busses here in Vienna and I have seen plenty of people who wait for a diesel bus and skip an earlier coming Electric Bus. I see subterranean parkings with signs that EVs are not allowed in. The luster is off. People have doubts and are even a bit afraid. How long for insurance to follow suit? How will a building insurer think about EVs in the subterranean parking when they risk losing the entire building? Or other infrastructure?
