World biggest importer Japan to invest in LNG terminals across Asia
Helping others with establishing their own LNG import projects and markets is a smart move. LNG is a big thing in Japan and most of it is still being imported on the back of long-term agreements. As long as LNG is not really a traded commodity, a large portion will have to remain on the longterm hook. When more consumers come in, that might loosen up. There never is a guarantee but its always better to do something rather than sleep.
