WVU biologists uncover forests’ unexpected role in climate change
Plants are consuming carbon – how could we have known that? I mean, we only leaned it in school and every greenhouse grower knows since he started his business that more CO2 gives him bigger and better plants that are less sick, need less pesticides and can cope with a lot more punishment. That extra green must come from somewhere. And it needs extra carbon to build up. Again, noting we would not have known forever.
