I have said so before – I will say it again right here and now. The Labor government came in on a sugar high. It will wear off very fast as their voters and their donor and activist class don’t match. If they give in to the activists, they lose the voters and that will hurt them very fast. And if they do what the voters want (don’t hold your breath as we have seen with wild hair Boris) their activist class will make them squirm. Starmer is between a rock and a hard place and he won’t square the circle. I guess that he will give in to the activists as they are the more immediate pain and hopes the voter will forget it. But the activists will make sure that voters will never forget. The UK is in for a lot more suffering.
