No average European or American can even start to imagine what life is like in an average African country with constant power cuts and no power available in the countryside. Let alone living in a basket case of a country like Zimbabwe. They would crack at significantly less – but as this is so theoretical for them, the examples don’t work. We need to see a big, developed, industrialized nation go down the drain to have a real moment of “Holy F…”. California might be this nation for North America. Germany for Europe. Painful, but that seems to be the way.
